We will be in Disney for 5 days, 1 of which we plan on spending at a water park. Should we purchase a 5 day park pass or a 4 day park pass with a 1 day water park pass.

    Hi Brian!

         Fantastic question!

Option 1:   If you purchase a 5 day Magic Your Way base park ticket, the cost per adult will be $267.32 plus tax.  You would be able to visit one theme park per day, but the water parks are not included.

Option 2: You purchase a 4 day Magic Your Way base ticket and upgrade to include the Water Park Fun 'n More options, which would cost $317.60.  You would receive 4 fun options to use at any point during your vacation - including the Water Parks!  In other words, you could visit all 4 theme parks and then have 4 opportunities to go to the Water Park, DisneyQuest or one of the many other options.  You can use those options on the same day that you visit a theme park, or you can use them an on entirely different day.  From the first day that you use your ticket, you will have up to 14 days to use your park visits (4) and fun options  (4.)

Option 3:  You purchase a 4 day Magic Your Way ticket for $258.80 and purchase a one time Water Park Pass for $52.19 plus tax per adult.  This would bring your total per adult to $310.99 plus tax per adult.  You would only be able to visit the Water Park one time, but as with the other options, you will have up to 14 days to use your 4 park tickets and 1 Water Park visit.

So, while Option 2 is the most expensive at $317.60 per adult, it does give you the most bang for your buck!  For around $7 more per adult, you get 3 additional Fun Options to use at any point during your vacation.  I hope that this helps and that you have a wonderful vacation!
