We will be in disney 4 days. Arrival and departure days will be shorter days. We are doing the four main parks. Which 2 parks should we do on the shorter days?

Great question!  Look to see if any of the parks have Extra Magic Hours on the days you are arriving and departing.  If a park is open late on your arrival date it is a good time to get more attractions and experiences in at that park.  If a park is open early on the departure day you can add an hour of touring time.

I would recommend spending a full day at the Magic Kingdom.  My family can always see most of the Animal Kingdom in a half day so that would be a great choice for one of the short days.  My suggestion for the other short day would depend on the age of your children. Older children will find EPCOT lots of fun with lots of activities and attractions to keep them busy for a full day.  Younger children will enjoy their age appropriate attractions but can easily do this in half a day.  Hollywood Studios can also be done in a half day if you plan carefully and arrive at park opening.  Remember that EPCOT and Hollywood Studios are close and can be reached by the water taxi so if you have a park hopper ticket you can spend time in one park and head over to the next one to start your experience there.
