Hi. We are going to Disney and my daughter will turn 10 while we're there. Is there some place we can celebrate without advanced reservation? I'm afraid it's too late to book anything now.

    Hi, Teresa!

Wow! A birthday celebration in Walt Disney World sounds fantastic. Please wish your Princess a very Happy Birthday from me!

It is certainly NOT too late to book a dining reservation. It looks like you might be traveling right before Christmas, which is a very busy time. Walk-ups will be a bit challenging, so click on Dining Reservations to see what is available. Whether it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you can celebrate! Hopefully you have your FastPass+ selections made. Try to choose your dining location for the same park you plan to be in for your FastPasses.

Do not forget to check the resorts. Disney Resort hotels have some amazing dining options, such as Whispering Canyon at Disney's Wilderness Lodge or Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Keep your options open, be flexible with your times, and don't be afraid to try something new!

When you get to your dining reservation, let your server know you are celebrating a birthday! You can even order a cake to be delivered to your table at select locations. Now that's a fun surprise your entire party can enjoy.

Wishing you a magical birthday visit to Walt Disney World! Make sure to stop by a Guest Services location for a complimentary "Happy Birthday" button!
