Hi Disney Moms and Dads! I want to surprise my younger sister (she's 20 and I'm 24 fyi) with a trip to the most magical place on earth! Which moderate resort would you recommend for the two of us? Many Thanks!

Hi Lauren, welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Wow, I wish I had a sister as wonderful as you! I bet you guys are as close as Anna and Elsa. For two regal princesses, I would suggest the Royal Guest Room at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. These are a part of the Disney Story Rooms line and are actually my favorite rooms. There is a fiber-optic firework display on the headboard of the ornate bed, and there are really cool accent pieces scattered throughout the room. It would be a perfect fit for the two of you.

The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and strikingly convincing. The detail is enough to make you forget whether you are vacationing at Walt Disney World in Florida or on the Bayou in Louisiana. This resort is also just a water taxi ride away from Downtown Disney where you can dine, shop, and have fun.

There are Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides along the Sassagoula River and 5 leisure pools to choose from as well as a 3.5 acre swimming hole. As I type a flurry of snow is falling outside of my window, so lounging by the pool in the sun sounds fantastic right about now.

Make sure to stop by Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory and eat a fresh beignet for me!

If you have any more questions, feel free to stop by, we'd be happy to help.
