Hi Disney Moms (& Dads!) We will have a car on property and wanted to drive to Magic Kingdom and pay for the preferred parking. Since we are resort guests, are we credited the value of the standard parking towards the preferred parking price? Thanks

    Hi Melissa!

Since my husband and I normally drive to the Walt Disney World Resort, we also usually park at the theme parks!  As you know, Standard Parking at the theme parks is free for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel.  If you would like to purchase Preferred Parking, as a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel guest, you will just need to show the Parking Cast Member your active MagicBand that shows you are currently a guest, or your Parking Placard, which you can get from the Front Desk of your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel.  The Parking Cast Member can then waive the fee that is normally charged for Preferred Parking and allow you to pay the difference between the Standard and Preferred Parking fees.  Remember, parking for Magic Kingdom Park is at the Transportation and Ticket Center.  You will still need to take the Monorail or the Ferryboat to the Magic Kingdom Park entrance.

If you decide that you would prefer to use a different mode of transportation, depending on where you are staying, you have a few different options.  These include the Walt Disney World Resort Monorail and Walt Disney World Water Transportation, which are both great options for an exciting and unique way to get to Magic Kingdom Park from some of the resorts.  You can also always use the Walt Disney World Bus Service!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
