Does Disney currently offer discounts for Federal Employees or Medical Professionals ?

Hey Howdy Hey Sara and welcome to planDisney!

Visiting Walt Disney World Resort is a Magical experience, but visiting Walt Disney World with a special offer at a discounted rate is even better! There are a few places to look when booking your trip to see if you qualify for any of these special offers, especially considering the professional fields you listed. Let's go through a few options you may have.

The first place you want to check is on the Walt Disney World site under Special Offers. All of the current offers Disney has will be listed there for various special considerations. Make sure you are signed into your My Disney Experience account and have all of your info updated like if you are a Disney+ subscriber or Disney Vacation Club Member as these special memberships might bring up deals specific to you! Make sure of the dates of travel and room-specific details as these will be specifically listed for you to qualify for the discount.

You can also find these offers when searching for your specific travel details. When you select a resort, you should also be prompted with any special offers that may qualify for your search parameters. Under the Resort overview and before the list of the available rooms, you should find a couple of greed dots that you can highlight to pull up the listings with the discounts applied.

Many Disney goers really like planning and getting their reservations booked far in advance. The offers listed under the Special Offers section only go so far out and they may not cover your trip at all. Not to worry Sara, you can still book early and take advantage of any special offer that might come out even after you book! You can do this through your My Disney Experience account by going under the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section and selecting the "Change/Modify Reservation" hyperlink. You can also do this by calling Disney and talking with a Cast Member about applying the discount to your reservation.

With your specific fields listed, I would also check with your employer to see if there are any programs your offices or organizations belong to for special travel discounts. As a healthcare worker myself, my hospital is affiliated with Beneplace which is a program for many employers to offer travel discounts both domestically and internationally. We were able to get a great discount on tickets through that program rather than a discount through Disney. I would highly recommend asking around at work as this may be a great option as a benefit many companies offer their employees that might not be as well known as others.

Best of luck as you continue to plan for your next trip and I hope you can snag a special offer to give you a little extra spending money for the amazing snacks available during your trip! Please feel free to reach out and let us know if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Nick
