    Disney Cruises - which Staterooms are best for big families? Or even a family with 3 small children? Is the Concierge area always open with snacks and drinks?

    We are always so happy to hear from guests planning a Disney cruise, and we welcome you here to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Apart from choosing an itinerary, picking a stateroom is one of the most important choices that pirate families consider when booking their dream vacation. The room types include Concierge, Verandah, Oceanview, and Inside choices and within these, the Concierge Suites and Verandah rooms are the most spacious. Most families that are larger choose the Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms with or without a Verandah which can accommodate 5 people. Another option that is popular with families is to choose an Inside Stateroom (which can accommodate 4 cruisers) and combine it with a matching connecting Inside Stateroom for a total capacity of 8. When I sailed on the Wonder in November, I met a family that had 3 Inside Staterooms for the parents and their 7 children! Needless to say that I met the mama pirate while doing laundry (and with 7 sea pups she had plenty of work). Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms have the ability to house 4 pirate family members. Five sailors can enjoy the Concierge 1-bedroom Suite while the Concierge Royal Suite with Verandah is set for 7 cruisers. Smaller families fit all of the room types as most are arranged for up for 4 guests.
    The Concierge Lounge is accessible by the Key to the World card given to Concierge level guests. This lounge is fully stocked with snacks, juices, milk, soda and coffee all day (and night). And pirate crews that do not wish to go to the lounge can always take advantage of Room Service that is 24 hours a day with no additional charge.
