Disney cruises, leaving from New York or New Jersey

Ahoy, Annmarie! Welcome to planDisney, where we aim to answer all of your questions about sailing where magic meets the sea.

Disney Cruise Line just recently announced the Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries and, as a fellow East Coaster, I am happy to report that New York is finally returning as a departure port! As you may know, there have not been any sailings from New York recently, but NYC is making a triumphant return next year as host to the Disney Wish for select sailings to Bermuda and the coastlines of both Canada and New England. I will warn you that the dates are limited to late September to early November 2027 and staterooms are selling incredibly fast. Additionally, the vast majority of the sailings are Halloween on the High Seas specialty cruises, which feature exclusive events like Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party and extra spooky surprises such as trick-or-treating onboard.

You can follow these simple steps to see the current availability for all of the New York sailings:

    • Start by clicking on the “Plan a Cruise” tab at the top of the Disney Cruise Line main website.
    • You will see a screen that says “Find a Cruise” and should click on the third white box labeled “Departing from” to choose “New York, New York.”
    • Then click on the blue button at the right labeled “View Dates” and you will get a list of all of the available itineraries with sailing dates.

I hope you are able to find an itinerary that fits your needs and fingers crossed that New York will continue to be a Disney Cruise Line departure port for the foreseeable future. If you have any other questions, then feel free to reach back out to us here at planDisney. Happy sailing!
