On Disney Cruises you are given the option to have an early dinner time or late. What is the best time with a 5yr and a 7yr? This is our first cruise and 8pm seems late, however if you are doing excurtions it might be the better time Thank you

Having sailed with my son at those ages, I would absolutely recommend the earlier (Main) seating. Yes, it is sometimes a bit rushed to have to get back from an excursion or leave the pool early in order to get ready for dinner. However you'll all welcome the earlier meal time after a busy day at sea or in port.

After dinner, you'll be able to go see a show, check the kids into the Oceaneer Club and/or relax up on deck. At the late seating, it is sometimes difficult to get to the Pirates IN the Caribbean deck party in time to enjoy the entire show. Plus, you may be too full from dinner to enjoy the buffet!

I would try to stick closer to your usual routine. Are you early risers? What time do you usually have dinner?

Don't forget that there are also Quick Service options on deck for meals as well as delicious food from Room Service.
