We are going on our 1st disney cruise the week of May 28th. We are going to Cozumel, Jamaica, Grand Caymen and Castaway Cay. How are the jellyfish at these beaches? Should I bring Sea Safe Anti Jellyfish Sting protective lotion/sunscreen?

    Ahoy Jennifer –
How does it feel to be going on a cruise in 1 WEEK?!? Well, CONGRATULATIONS on your FIRST Disney Cruise and thank you for allowing us to help with your planning! With the exception of Jamaica, my pirate crew has visited all of the ports of call that you listed above many times, and let me tell you that we have NEVER had any problems with jellyfish. And it’s not like we have never seen one before because as native Texans, my crew has seen plenty of them on the Texas coast, and we keep a sharp eye out for them.  Also, being a physician, I am always more than prepared for every trip we take and that includes bringing a remedy for everything – except I have never thought about the jellyfish while cruising. I think you should pack according to your comfort level because you are going to need sunscreen so it would not hurt to bring the Sea Safe.  Also remember that there is a Health Center onboard the ship that will have remedies for jellyfish stings if needed. Jennifer thanks for visiting with us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel and have a fabulous cruise this week!
