We are going on our very 1st Disney Cruise and are super excited. We have never been on any type of cruise before. We have 2 girls, ages 8 and 4 1/2. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. We are quickly becoming overwhelmed with all the info online.

    Hi there Elizabeth!

Your very first Disney cruise is super exciting!  Are you kidding me?!?!  You are going to be amazed at how much there is to do, and how gorgeous everything is.  Get ready to be spoiled too; the service is unprecedented.

Your girls are at a wonderful age for cruising.  They will be enjoying the Oceaneer Club and Lab, and will probably never want to leave (at least my kids never did).  I don't know what ship you're sailing on, but if it's the Disney Fantasy, try to make them an appointment for a Princess Makeover.  The boutique is wonderful, and the kids love it.

Don't miss any of the evening shows.  They are all terrific and geared to entertain all ages.  It's wonderful family time.  I suggest that you take some time for yourself at the spa.  They are relaxing, and being the mother of two also, I know you need some down time.

If you'd like, please write back and let me know which ship you're on, or if you have any other questions.  I can also be more specific if I know when you're traveling and whether you are celebrating any special occasions.

Hope to hear from you soon.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel Elizabeth.  Have a magical sailing!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
