Hello! Our 1st Disney Cruise is soon! (Fantasy Eastern route from 4/1-4/8). How can we learn our dining rotation and special event (pirate/formal night) schedule? We want to book Remy/Palo in advance without missing out on special nights if possible!

Jeffrey, I’m glad you sailed by today with your question. Welcome to planDisney and Disney Cruise Line!

It looks like you’re planning a culinary adventure aboard the Disney Fantasy. I’m happy to help you set your course in the right direction.

With Disney’s Rotational Dining, you’ll eat at one of three different restaurants each night of your cruise. On your 7-night sailing, you will visit each restaurant twice, with the restaurant your first night repeated three times. Each night’s menu is unique and full of new and delicious choices. Your servers – who will come to learn all your favorites – will “rotate” with you each night.

Formal and semi-formal night is the perfect time to take a family photo while you’re dressed to impress. Even Captain Mickey wears a bowtie for the occasion.  Ship photographs will be set up in the atrium to capture your memories. On your sailing, formal night is your first sea day, and semi-formal night is your last sea day. I’d probably try to book Palo or Remy for Wednesday or Friday. It will allow you to visit all the restaurants and partake in Pirate Night.

Speaking of Pirate Night, while you're enjoying your time in Tortola, the Disney Fantasy will transform into a swashbuckling celebration at sea. You can practice your “Arrgghh’s” and "Yo-Ho's” as you enjoy pirate-themed activities. Pirate-y apparel is encouraged, so I like to pack a few eye patches for my crew. When the sun begins to set, head to the upper decks, not to walk the plank but see the starlit sky come alive with fireworks. You’re going to have an arrrgghh-mazing time!

Have you downloaded the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app? Once on board, the app will list what restaurant you are in each night. You can even view all the menus and plan what dishes you’re going to order. Do you think two appetizers look divine – order both. I’ve always heard calories at sea don’t count!

I hope I’ve been able to steer you in the right direction. You are going to have a wonderful vacation making memories to last a lifetime.

    Bon Voyage!
