Welcome Aboard, Sandy!
Thanks for your interest in Disney Cruise Line, and for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question. Disney Cruise Line has so many wonderful
cruises and destinations to choose from, and has added several new
ports for sailings in 2014/2015.
Disney Cruise Line's home port is the fabulous Port Canaveral. The Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy will be sailing from this port for the remainder of 2014 and 2015. The DCL terminal definitely stands out, with a gorgeous 90-foot glass tower. The grandeur of a Disney Cruise begins even before boarding the ship! When you cruise out of Port Canaveral, you can expect comfortable seating areas, Disney cartoons for the kids, and even photo opportunities with favorite Disney characters while you wait to board!
Disney Cruise Line also has cruises departing from many other wonderful ports, such as Miami, San Diego, and Alaskan cruises departing from Vancouver. This summer, The Disney Magic can be found making a Transatlantic cruise to the Mediterranean, sailing from ports in Barcelona and Venice. This fall, the Magic will make her way to the Southern Caribbean with departures from San Juan before returning to Port Canaveral.
Recently, Disney Cruise Line announced they'll be charting a magical new course for Northern Europe, exploring Iceland, the Faroe Islands, and the Norwegian fjords, which served as inspiration for Disney's "Frozen". More details on these itineraries can be found
here.
As you can see, with so many departure options, it's easy to find an itinerary that's a perfect fit for the voyage of your dreams. I hope you find this information helpful! - Diane W.
