Celebrating a birthday on a Disney Cruise is truly one of the most magical ways to mark the occasion.
When my family celebrated birthdays onboard, our amazing dining team surprised the birthday guest with a special treat and a cheerful birthday song. It was so sweet! While it’s never guaranteed, the dining teams really do go above and beyond to make special occasions feel extra magical in my experience.
To help set the stage for a birthday surprise, be sure to submit the Special Requests form under "My Reservations" on the
Disney Cruise Line website at least three weeks before you sail. I also recommend having one of your travel buddies mention the birthday to the dining room team (or you can share it yourself, of course!).
If you want to treat yourself to even more birthday pixie dust, you can pre‑order fun extras like flowers, chocolates, sparkling wine, or adorable in‑room decor. I once ordered a birthday decor package for my spouse, and our stateroom looked so festive! I think we even received a cozy blanket as part of it! You can browse options under
Onboard Gifts...or drop a hint to your travel crew to do it for you!
