Will the Disney cruise return to New Orleans, and if so, what is the anticipated date? The opportunity to sail with Disney so close to home was truly exceptional.

Welcome to planDisney, Shannon! Thank you for sailing by planDisney.

At this time, there are no sailings departing from New Orleans available.  I suggest that you keep an eye out for the latest information on the Disney Parks Blog and the Disney Cruise Line social media sites for upcoming itineraries. The Disney Magic will continue to depart from Galveston, Texas, in 2025 and 2026. It's not New Orleans, but it's closer than Florida!

I happened to see a couple of Very Merrytime itineraries for 2025 sailing from Galveston. As someone who sailed on Disney Cruise Line this past Christmas, I can attest that spending the holidays with Mickey and Friends on the high seas is a magical experience. From the life-size gingerbread house to Mickey and Minnie's Holiday Party, you and your family will have a jolly good time.

Shannon, this may not be the news you were hoping for, but I hope you will find another itinerary that will work for you!  If you have any other questions, come back to visit us at planDisney for answers. We would love to help you plan your next Disney Cruise Line vacation.

    Adventure is out there!
