Hi, Lori! Thanks for visiting me on the Moms Panel, and I'm thrilled that you're going on a Disney cruise. You're going to love it! As far as a woman or girl wearing flip-flops to dinner, I think it would really depend upon what the flip flops look like...whether they are the rubber ones that belong by the pool or the fancy ones that rival designer sandals. I tend to overdress for an occasion -- so you have to consider the source. However, I would think that flip flops would be acceptable at a dinner seating in one of the main restaurants on a Disney cruise. Yet, I would advise against wearing flip flops to Palo -- the adult exclusive dining which is more sophisticated. For men or boys, I would suggest that they wear closed-toe shoes to dinner.
As far as the mother/daughter massage, the spa services are exclusively for adults 18 and older. So, if your daughter is older than 18, I would think that that would be acceptable. You just have to know and be comfortable with having your massages at the same time in the same room. I would suggest consulting our Moms Panel resident expert on the Disney Cruise Line, Karen. You can go to
Karen's page to ask her more specific questions about your upcoming cruise. I'm so excited for you (and a little jealous)! Have a wonderful day and a truly magical cruise vacation!
