Hi Joe and thank you for bringing your question to planDisney! I'm excited for you to sail away next month and make some unforgettable memories.
A big part of capturing those memories is in the photographs that we take, so I understand why you are asking about the current policy with indoor photography and facial coverings. At this time, facial coverings are required for all Guests over the age of two and are to be worn at all times while indoors, except for when actively eating or drinking (while stationary).
This means that currently, photographs taken indoors on the Disney Cruise Line will be with facial coverings on. On my most recent sailing, there were professional photographers walking through the restaurants onboard to take photos. Because we were dining, our facial coverings were removed for these photographs.
If photographs are a souvenir that you enjoy, you might be interested to know that there are some fun opportunities to take
Magic Shots with professional photographers onboard. These pixie-dusted pictures include beloved Disney Characters right alongside you donning their best sailor attire. The Magic Shots are available upon request, so be sure to ask about this extra feature when you are getting ready to say "cheese" onboard and even at
Disney's Castaway Cay.
The Magic Shots are included when you purchase an
Unlimited Digital Photo Package and photo packages are available at a discount when you choose to pre-book at least three days in advance of your sailing. That's something to smile about!
I hope that your upcoming cruise will be full of big grins and lots of happiness.
Happy planning and happy sailing!
