Hi there, Courtney!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited to hEAR you are headed to sea very soon! Before you know it, you will be
celebrating at you head to sea for an adventure you won’t soon forget!
My husband is from New Orleans, so you better believe that Mardi Gras is a BIG DEAL for him…even though he’s lived in Texas for half his life! But, now that life doesn’t always allow for us to make it back to New Orleans for Mardi Gras day, we make sure to celebrate in a big way at home! And now that Disney Cruise Line will be departing from
New Orleans in 2020, I am definitely going to try to conveniently arrange a Disney Cruise Line vacation for my family that allows for us to be there for some parades before embarking on an adventure at sea!!
Since most onboard entertainment is not announced prior to embarkation, I cannot say whether or not there will be any sort of Mardi Gras celebration during your voyage. Be sure to check your Personal Navigator or the Navigator app once onboard for any special events or celebrations. But, remember there is nothing saying that you can’t have your own Mardi Gras celebration while onboard…so feel free to bring your masks and beads and celebrate at sea! Rest assured there will be plenty of
food to indulge in!
While always subject to change, your itinerary does include Pirate Night on your third night, Star Wars Day at Sea on Day six, a formal night, a semi-formal night and four cruise casual nights so when you are packing you may want to plan for those events.
Laissez les bon temps rouler,
Stephanie
