Disney Cruise Lines’ have the 24 h cancellation policy that allows me to book a cruise knowing that if I change my mind within 24 hours I will receive a 100% refund. Cancellation requests must be received within 24 hours of initial payment?

    Ahoy, Lisa!

I’m excited to hear you’re looking to book a fabulous Disney Cruise Line vacation. There’s just nothing like these incredible vacations with so much included onboard plus exciting adventures in beautiful ports of call. One of the things that makes a Disney cruise so unique is its flexible cancellation policies; I’m happy to share the details with you for clarity and peace of mind.

To reserve your stateroom, you just need to make a deposit (typically 20% of the voyage fare and due within three days of booking the cruise; also see the current promotion for reduced deposits). From there, you are welcome to “Pay at Your Own Pace” until the required Paid in Full Date for your particular sailing. You don’t set up these payments in advance but can make any subsequent payments on your own schedule on the website.

You can then cancel your reservation until the final payment date and receive a full refund (excludes Concierge staterooms and suites). The cancellation fee is only the deposit amount beginning the day after the final payment date, and the percentage increases as you get closer to your departure date until 14 days or less when it is 100% of the voyage fare to cancel. Please see the full details of the cancellation policy and schedule here.

If you book your Disney Cruise Line vacation within the final payment period (close to your sail date), full payment is required within 24 hours. Additionally, some special fares such as Categories with Restrictions, require full payment when making the reservation.

You will receive details of the exact Paid in Full date for your cruise once booked. Typically, final payment for cruises up to five nights in length is due 90 days prior to sailing for staterooms and 120 days for Concierge accommodations. For sailings six nights or longer, final payment is due 120 days from the sail date for staterooms and 150 days for Concierge accommodations.

If you book a cruise and change your mind, you may always call Disney Cruise Line for personalized guidance. I’ve also moved my cruise date and itinerary after booking with little impact and no stress, so please know there are ways to be flexible with your vacation plans within the cruise contract terms.

I hope this eases your mind and helps you understand what to expect when booking a special Disney Cruise Line vacation, Lisa. Please sail on by planDisney anytime with additional questions or to request our tips to make the most of this special adventure.

    Wishing you a magical cruise,
    Amy
