Hi there, Mai!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I know how eager you must be for your Disney Cruise Line vacation to get here and rightfully so! Between the adventures you will have onboard the Disney Dream and the fun you will have at the theme parks you are going to make the most magical memories!
Disney Cruise Line’s
ground transfers are definitely the way to go to get from your Walt Disney World Resort hotel to Port Canaveral for embarkation! It will be a seamless and easy transfer for you on embarkation day allowing you the opportunity to enjoy and not stress over finding a specific ride to Port Canaveral or scheduling a private transfer! I always opt to book anything directly through Walt Disney World Resort or Disney Cruise Line whenever possible because it’s just easy! When you complete you, Online Check-In be sure to provide your pre and post cruise information! As long as you provide accurate information as to where you will be prior to the cruise when completing your
Online Check-In, Disney Cruise Line will ENSURE you are at the port on time – if not early! In fact, from my previous experiences, you will likely need to have your luggage ready for pickup by Bell Services by 8:00AM with departures around 9:00AM. A letter will be delivered to you the night before instructing you of when and where to meet your motor coach for the transfer. If you selected a Port Arrival Time of 12:00PM, you may be able to check in earlier if you are there. They just like to stagger arrivals to eliminate longer than normal waits! Your Port Arrival Time is different than your boarding group number which is received when you check-in at the port. Boarding will typically begin around 11:30AM, so you may have some time to wait in the terminal. We always bring a deck of cards to play some games while waiting! Definitely eat breakfast before heading to
Port Canaveral but once you get onboard, head to Cabanas for a yummy buffet lunch! Then, explore the Disney Dream until your stateroom is ready!
Have the most magical of adventures, Mai!
Happy Sailing!
