Ahoy Christopher!
Happy to have you back onboard here at planDisney! Sounds like you have your eye on cruising AND maximizing your Castaway Club status while you’re at it. I’m right there with you as I make my way towards Platinum status!
Well now, haven’t you come up with a way to get to a higher Castaway Club status faster? Sadly, that is not how Disney Cruise Line calculates the number of cruises you have sailed and does not count your voyage twice if you are cruising solo. If you wanted to get credit for two, you COULD do two back-to-back itineraries, say on the
Disney Dream by booking both 3-night and 4-night sailings. Same number of nights as a 7-night itinerary, yet DOUBLE the count towards your
Castaway Club level.
While we’re talking about back-to-back sailings, did you know that the
Disney Wish will be taking over for the Disney Dream starting Summer 2022 as the ship offering the 3-night and 4-night itineraries from Port Canaveral? As the newest ship in the Disney fleet, it has some fantastic new experiences that are sure to make it super popular. I’m talking totally new restaurant concepts based on
Frozen, Marvel, and Old Hollywood; the
Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge which looks so authentic, Guests may feel like they are IN a
Star Wars movie; the first-ever attraction at sea called AquaMouse, inspired by the Mickey Mouse animated shorts; two all-new musical productions; and an expansive Quiet Cove adult-exclusive pool and deck area.
I wanted to mention the Disney Wish in case you wanted to make a reservation; the advance window for booking begins on May 17th for Platinum Castaway Club members with 25+ sailings and continues until it opens to the General Public on May 27th. So your current Castaway Club level would determine what date you could make a reservation for the Disney Wish. Here’s the
full schedule for the advance booking window in case you are interested.
Christopher, whether traveling solo or with a group, cruising with Captain Mickey offers something for everyone. I WISH you a WONDERful time on your voyage(s), and good luck deciding on one (or two) of the DREAMy itineraries available.
Happy Sailing!
