Has Disney cruise line banned selfie sticks?

    Ahoy Anne!

Thanks for using the Disney Parks Moms Panel as a planning resource for your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation - we're happy to help.

At this time, there has not yet been a ban on selfie sticks on Disney Cruise Line. If you want to check and make sure they are still allowed before your sail date, I encourage you to  call DCL directly at 1-800-951-3532 right before you sail.

That being said, I'm certain that there are instances where selfie sticks wouldn't be allowed, such as on the waterslides on the pool deck or during live theater performances. As long as you are using your photo equipment responsibly and not interfering with other guests, it should be fine to use for taking group shots around the ship.

Another way to get some great group shots is to take advantage of the awesome ship's photographers. From character meet-and-greets to family photo shoots, the ship's photographers are always available to capture your magical moments. You'll even find DCL photographers when you stop at Castaway Cay - some of our favorite cruise photos ever were taken on Disney's private island!

I hope this helps with your planning. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
