We are going on 1st Disney Cruise in less than a week. We fly into Orlando 9am, but the earliest ship boarding time available is 1:30pm! Is there anything to do at Port canaveral while we wait for boarding? Or should we stay at airport? (I have a 1yr old)

    Welcome aboard, Laura!

Your magical cruise awaits and you're about to embark on an awesome voyage with your family. What an exciting vacation to look forward to -- and just a couple more nights to go!

Your 9am arrival time at the Orlando Airport allows for a leisurely morning, and that counts a lot, especially when you are traveling with a little one. You can even allow for time in the morning for breakfast at the airport to power up before you take your ground transportation to Port Canaveral. If you are taking the Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation from MCO to the Port, then you will need to go to the ground floor of the airport to get boarded onto your assigned motor coach. The ride from the airport to the port will take about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. So, I think spending the extra time at the airport to stretch and play before you get on the bus will be helpful for everybody. The waiting area at the Port is roomy, and you can wait until your ship on-boarding time comes up. There's some photo opportunities that you can take advantage of, since a Disney character comes to the waiting area to take pictures with guests waiting to board. There is also a replica of the ship to check out and everyone loves checking that out.

Lunch will be ready for you on the ship and Captain Mickey and his crew will be waiting for you at the Sail Away deck party too!

Have a fabulous voyage filled with magical moments!
