Ahoy, Cindy!
Thank you for trusting planDisney with your vacation planning needs! A Disney Cruise Line vacation is the perfect gift for your family—a chance to create magical memories together. Whether soaking up the sun on the pool deck, watching spectacular
Broadway-style shows, or savoring quiet moments with an ocean view, there’s something special for everyone onboard.
While I’d love to give you a quick answer, the cost of a Disney cruise can vary depending on several important factors, such as:
•
Number of Nights: From quick 3- or 4-night getaways to week-long adventures or more.
•
Departure Port: Options include Port Canaveral, FL; Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Galveston, TX; Vancouver, B.C.; and beyond.
•
Stateroom Type: Choices range from cozy Inside staterooms to luxurious Concierge suites.
•
Itinerary: Destinations like Alaska or Disney’s Castaway Cay may cost more but are truly unforgettable.
•
Sailing Date: Popular times, such as holidays and school breaks, often have higher pricing.
•
Ship: The newest ships, like the
Treasure and
Wish, may have higher pricing.
Now, I know that’s not an easy answer, and you were hoping for more specific prices. The good news is that the
Disney Cruise Line website is a great resource. Simply hover over “Plan a Cruise” and select “
Find a Cruise.” From there, you can customize your search by destination, departure port, stateroom, and more.
I know cost is important, so one more thing to consider is gratuities.
Gratuities can be prepaid when booking; otherwise, they will be automatically charged to your onboard account. While gratuities are optional, the recommended gratuity amount is currently $14.50 ($23.50 for Concierge) per night, per stateroom Guest, including infants and children. For example, for a 4-night cruise with 4 Guests, the automatic gratuity total would be $232.
My family and I love
Castaway Cay and always try to find an itinerary with a stop there. We love the beaches here in Florida, but I’m an even bigger fan of the pristine shores of Disney’s private island! Speaking of Florida, Disney offers special savings to
Florida residents on select cruise itineraries. Proof of Florida residency (a Florida driver’s license or ID card) for at least one adult in each stateroom must be presented at check-in.
I hope this helps you set sail on the adventure of a lifetime! May your planning be as smooth as the seas and as magical as a Disney wish come true!
Sea ya real soon with pixie dust and ocean breezes,
Dustin
