Welcome aboard, Emily!
Glad you charted a course to planDisney! One of the best things about a Disney Cruise Line vacation is
all that is included in the price. I like to call it an all-inclusive Disney vacation at sea! OK, so not everything is part of the
cruise reservation, but pretty darn close.
First of all, generally all of your meals are included in the cost of your cruise. Each night, Guests can rotate through the three restaurants onboard, and with the unique
Rotational Dining system, even your dining service team rotates with you. Every Disney ship has a casual buffet-style restaurant called
Cabanas serving meals each day along with several Quick Service dining options.
With these snack and meal stands located on the pool deck, you can snack to your heart's content and then jump right back into all the poolside fun. As far as drinks and extras, there’s also plenty of drinks included like soft drinks, water, tea, and lemonade. My kids’ absolute favorite spot just might be the
Eye Scream Treats soft serve ice cream station. Oh, and there’s also complimentary 24-hour Room Service! So I like to tell my family that if you manage to go hungry on a Disney cruise, then that’s on you! There’s a great
FAQ section about food on the Disney Cruise Line website if you want to check that out.
Just to give you an idea, items that require an additional charge include alcoholic/specialty beverages (like specialty coffee drinks at
Cove Cafe), adult-exclusive dining at
Palo and
Remy, and snacks sold at the entrance to the
Walt Disney Theatre and
Buena Vista Theatre. (Hey, I can’t say no to movie theatre popcorn!)
With all this talk about food, now I’m extremely hungry! Emily, we’ll save you a seat if you want to come back to planDisney and DISH about Disney cruising...my favorite subject! Hope to SEA ya real soon!
