Hi Steve!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for stopping by with your question about your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation! I am so excited for your family to celebrate such a momentous occasion while onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship; it will undoubtedly be a memorable celebration for ALL!!
Lunch and dinner are served in the Oceaneer Lab during mealtimes, and while the Youth Counselors do a great job of informing the Mouseketeers about it being mealtime, they cannot make the kiddos sit and eat. As I have found on previous voyages, my boys tend to get a little (well, maybe a lot) sidetracked and distracted while having so much fun that often they don’t want to stop to eat – or certainly don’t eat a full meal if they do sit down to eat. So, to combat this, we have often ordered them
Room Service in our stateroom while we are getting ready for our adult-exclusive dining reservation OR we have also recently started making our own dining reservation for a time that we can still take them to our main dining room seating! This way we are certain they have gotten a decent meal in before dropping them off at the Youth Club and we ALL get to enjoy the dining room experience! So, there are a few options to ensure that they get dinner, with one of them definitely being in the Youth Club! Your
Navigator app will list the time that dinner will be served each day so you can check to make sure that they are there during that time! Oh, and if your littles have any dietary restrictions, you can arrange with your dining room server to have a meal delivered to them in Youth Club that meets their dietary needs.
If your in-law’s reservation has not yet been noted that they are celebrating an anniversary while onboard, be sure to add that in! This can be done
online or by contacting Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532! A 50th wedding anniversary celebration is certainly worth letting everyone know about!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
