Ahoy, Rosie, and welcome to planDisney!
How brilliant that your little one is already potty-trained! That’s a milestone worthy of a celebration, and no one knows how to make celebrations more magical than Disney. I’m delighted to report that yes, not only can she enjoy all the enchantment of
“it’s a small world” nursery!, I
chatted with a DCL representative who said they do have a bathroom for little ones to use.
Depending on what ship you’re on, you’ll find different decor and spaces, including separate areas for napping and playing. Your daughter may also delight in joining you for one of the Youth Activities Open Houses, where Guests of all ages can explore the themed lands in spots like
Disney’s Oceaneer Club during designated times throughout your cruise.
Another fun activity with little ones is to create your own scavenger hunt, discovering all the unique details of each ship. Whether it’s the Cinderella-themed carpet on the Disney Wish or the heroes and villains theme on the soon-to-debut
Disney Destiny, you don’t have to wait for a scheduled activity to uncover some Disney magic.
And while your daughter may be a little young to complete it on her own, why not
download this free “My Disney Cruise Booklet” to get her excited about your upcoming voyage? When my kids were little, I even created homemade lapbooks to bring on our trip, with everything from stickers for each of our ports of call to a Cast Member bingo card to learn how to say “Hello!” in their native language.
Promise me one thing, Rosie: that you’ll take a ton of pictures of your daughter as she experiences the wonder and excitement of her first Disney Cruise. And if you can think of any other ways my
planDisney panelist pals and I can help before your trip, don’t hesitate to write back to us!
Cheers!
