    We are going on a disney cruise to the eastern carribean and I would like to know how strick Disney is on the age limits for excusions. One of the excursions we are interested in is for 8 years and older, but my child is only 7 years old

    Congratulations on your upcoming Disney cruise to the Eastern Caribbean! I'm actually sailing this itinerary in December and can't wait to enjoy the warm and colorful ports of call when it will be so cold at home.

    For Port Adventures, the age guidelines are set forth mainly by the tour operators, and they vary according to the safety or equipment issues. And then sometimes, the stated ages in the descriptions are suggestions based on maturity. Therefore, I would call to talk to a Disney Cruise Line Travel Specialist at 800-951-3532 in order to see if the Port Adventure you're considering is a mere suggestion or a solid requirement. Also, the Port Adventures Team may make an exception if your child is within a couple of months of turning eight. You'll just have to do a little investigating.
