    Hi, I am going on the disney cruise in December. I wanted to know if disney gift cards can be used to purchase land excursions? Also, what else can they be used for onboard?

    Hi Veronica,

    Welcome to the Moms Panel!  Disney Gift Cards can be applied to your shipboard account to pay for any expenses you incur while onboard.  You simply need to stop by guest services with your gift card once you board and request the amount you would like applied to your account.  Then you can simply use your stateroom key to pay for alcoholic beverages, merchandise, excursions, spa services...pretty much anything that isn't already included.

    At this time the gift cards can not be used directly for purchases - so be sure to have it applied to your account early in your voyage.  Stateroom accounts are settled automatically on the last night of your cruise with the credit card you leave on file, so you want the gift card applied before this happens.
