Hi, KC!
That's so exciting that your first Disney cruise is going to be on the
Disney Wonder to the Mexican Riviera -- I betcha you'll be planning your next Disney Cruise before you leave the ship!
You'll love the Puerto Vallarta Canopy Tour. My husband, older kids and I did something similar in Alaska, and it was one of the highlights of the entire cruise. My youngest did stay on the ship since he was too small for that Port Adventure, but we made it up to him by allowing him to choose a shore excursion at the next port. (Besides, he didn't even miss us at the Oceaneer's Club and Lab!)
When trying to narrow down a Disney Port Adventure for the whole family, here's what I do:
- Go to the Port Adventures Page on DisneyCruise.com and sort by ports of call.
- Then, further filter your choices by selecting the age of your youngest child.
- I also like to arrange it so that I can see all my choices on one page, and then I call (800) 951-3532 with my specific questions such the estimated beginning/ending times, how long the ship is in that port, recommendations on specific Port Adventures, what to bring and what to leave on the ship, how to dress, etc.
My family is sailing this itinerary in November, and I may have to turn the tables to let you tell me what your family enjoyed before we sail. Nevertheless, I hope I've steered you in the right direction as you make your plans. Let me know if there's anything else I can answer for you.
Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
Bon voyage,
Andi
