Hi there, friend!
Thank you for stopping by planDisney. I am glad you sent your question to us! My family loves sailing on the Disney Cruise Line because there are many activities that we can do together, such as plunging down a waterslide, watching fantastic entertainment, and enjoying delicious meals. It is the ideal vacation!
Cruise costs significantly vary and depend on various factors, including departure port, cruise ship, itinerary, and time of year. For example, many Guests in the United States like to sail out of Port Canaveral or Fort Lauderdale in Florida because they want to visit
Disney Castaway Cay or
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Tropical vacations are my favorite! Additionally, most staterooms do not accommodate more than five Guests. You will most likely need two staterooms unless booking a suite. Fortunately,
connecting staterooms are available on all Disney Cruise Line ships!
I suggest visiting the Disney Cruise Line website to explore cruise itineraries and costs. Move your cursor to "Plan a Cruise" at the top of the page and select "
Find a Cruise." Here, you can narrow your cruise search by month, destination, departure port, and more. Enter how many Guests will be in the first stateroom and then select "Add Another Stateroom" to add the rest of your party. Choose a cruise you are interested in, select "Continue," and then click on "View Staterooms." Here, you can confirm your travel party and slide the toggle to indicate you are interested in connecting staterooms. You will then be directed to a deck plan where you can choose your stateroom. Connecting staterooms can be found in the deck plans by looking for a broken line on a wall shared between two staterooms, which denotes an interior door.
When choosing a cruise itinerary, I start with my date and departure port. My family prefers tropical cruises, although an Alaskan cruise is high on my bucket list! All Disney Cruise Line ships offer spectacular amenities and services, but I encourage you to review the
different ships on the Disney Cruise Line website to see which ship you might want to sail on. My family sailed on the
Disney Wish last year on a
Halloween on the High Seas cruise. We loved dressing up in costumes one night, and my kids enjoyed the extra Halloween activities!
Friend, I hope you find the perfect cruise for you! If you are unsure of which cruise to choose, you can also
call Disney Cruise Line to discuss your options. We hope to see you real soon!
Happy sailing!
Jen
