Hello Disney Cruise cast member, Before we take our Disney Fantasy cruise in May we will be staying at the Disney Wilderness resort. Is it possible to go directly from the resort to Port Canaveral on embarkation day?

    Hello, Graham!

Welcome to planDisney. Although we aren't official Disney Cast Members, we are a fun-loving group of characters with a significant collective background in all kinds of Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line vacations. It's a pleasure to offer advice and recommendations based on our lived Disney vacation experiences as regular Guests like you!

You've got a great idea! A land and sea vacation is my family's favorite way to do Disney. My family and I recently sailed on the Disney Treasure. Before our cruise, we stayed at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport. From there, we rode a Disney Cruise Line motorcoach to the port on embarkation day. After our amazing cruise, another cruise line motorcoach took us to Disney's Art of Animation Resort for a magical getaway to The Most Magical Place on Earth. We loved how the Disney-provided transportation made the entire vacation experience essentially a seamless magical experience from beginning to end.

As you can see from our experience, there are different ways to combine ground transportation options between your Disney Cruise Line port and either a partner hotel or a designated airport near the port. As an added bonus for Disney cruises sailing from Port Canaveral, Guests who are also visiting a participating resort hotel of the Walt Disney World Resort either before or after their cruise can also take advantage of this option. To reserve and pay for ground transportation options, you can use the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to review your cruise options and add available transportation. Another way to add ground transportation is to speak with a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member on the phone. They can help with sorting out specific options that work best for you.

Thanks for your question. Graham. We'd love to hear from you again here at planDisney. Feel free to drop by again if you'd like any more planning advice and recommendations.

    Have a magical cruise, Graham!
