Ahoy, Gene!
I appreciate that you are planning ahead and getting your travel documents shipshape for your voyage. Your sail date is popular, with three Disney ships embarking on an adventure on the same day. Here at planDisney, we like to point your compass in the right direction, so I’ll cover the documentation needed for all three itineraries.
If you are sailing on the Disney Dream to
Bermuda or the Disney Wish to the
Bahamas, I’m happy to share that U.S. citizens on closed-loop sailings can use an original state-issued birth certificate plus a government-issued photo ID to set sail. Children 15 years of age and younger do not need a photo ID. You can read about the travel documentation required for your sailing on the Disney Cruise Line website under the Already Booked tab, then look for
Travel Documentation.
If you are sailing the
Disney Wonder to Sidney, Australia, I’m incredibly jealous! In this case, you would need a passport valid at least six months after your sailing. In addition to a passport, some Guests are required to obtain Visas. Checking with your government agency or embassy is always a good idea if you’re sailing on this repositioning cruise.
I hope this is welcome news as you plan for your upcoming sailing. During online check-in, you will submit a picture of your birth certificate and present this documentation at the port upon arrival. Your check-in will show a "pending review" status until Disney Cruise Line has reviewed and approved your documentation. All that’s left is waiting for your Port Arrival Time and your boarding group number to be called! Hooray!
I’m so excited for you to experience everything a Disney Cruise Line vacation has to offer. From the imaginative dining rooms, beautiful ports of call, and family-friendly entertainment, there’s magic for Guests of all ages on board. If you have any questions about your specific itinerary, please sail our way again. The more information we have, the more we can customize our tips.
SEAS the adventure!
