Hi Khuyen!
Thanks so much for sailing to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this excellent question. You are going to have an unbelievable voyage to Alaska. We took my son on a Disney Cruise to Alaska when he was almost 2 years old and he loved it! Your little buccaneer will get his/her first taste of all the fun onboard while dancing with Captain Mickey and his friends during the
Sail-Away Celebration on embarkation day.
You don't have to bring your child's car seat on your upcoming Disney Cruise! If you're using
Disney Cruise Line's Ground Transportation or looking forward to Port Adventures booked through Disney Cruise Line, transportation is typically on large motor coaches that do not accommodate car seats. If you are planning on coordinating other transportation from the airport to the Cruise Terminal (and back again), I highly recommend calling the company you're booking it with to ask if their vehicles accommodate/require car seats.
When my family sailed to Alaska aboard Disney Cruise Line last summer we spent a few days in Vancouver before our cruise. We scheduled a car service from the airport to our hotel and requested a car seat ahead of time. This worked out great because we didn't need to bring my son's car seat; the car service company had one already installed in the van prior to our arrival. We used Disney Cruise Line's Ground Transportation at the end of our cruise to take us back to the airport and my son sat happily on my lap!
