    We are going on the Disney Cruise to Alaska. We have a 4 year old and most of the port adventures state 5 and above. How stern are they on that 5 and above minimum age requirement - meaning is that just recommended age?

    The Alaskan voyage on the Disney Cruise is an awesome trip that you and your family will enjoy and remember for a very long time. It's definitely a very different cruise, compared to all the other voyages that our family has been on. There's lots of jaw-dropping scenery and there's just so much beauty to discover and appreciate. So make sure you dress in layers to enjoy the outdoors by the decks and always have your camera on you.

    The Disney Cruise Port Adventures are very educational and enjoyable at the same time. Age restrictions are strictly enforced for all adventures and outings. The computer won't even allow you to book a port adventure if your guests in your stateroom reservation do not qualify. I've heard that you might be able to book an independent tour or adventure on your own - since each tour company operates differently. But, if you are booking a port adventure through Disney - you and your family members will be subject to the age restrictions.
