Hello! We are going on the Disney Cruise to Alaska in June/July. Is there a way to get a copy of the planning paper they provide when you arrive on board before the cruise? They are so useful to plan your cruise so we don't want to wait. Thanks!

    Hi, Erin!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard the beautiful Disney Wonder to Alaska! My family and I are taking the same cruise next month, and believe me, I am as anxious as you are to know what's going on aboard that cruise!

Your Personal Navigator is the daily newsletter which outlines all of the ships' activities and events on board each day and actually is printed on the ship. Unfortunately for all of us who just can't wait, the Personal Navigators aren't available prior to boarding. In fact, I talked to a Disney Cruise Line Cruise Director who said they are printed daily "just in time" in order to accommodate last-minute changes to each cruise's schedule. You see, because the cruise ship is a vessel and unlike a stationary resort, factors such as the weather or changes in course can affect some scheduled programming -- which may have an effect on other events as well.

Plus, DCL Cruise Director Ray said that each sailing is different, and sometimes, special offerings are available on some cruises and not on others. Printing Personal Navigators daily allows for the cast and crew to be more flexible. I completely understood after Ray explained everything to me, and I became content not to see a Personal Navigator prior to sailing.

I hope this helps. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
