Ahoy, Angella!
Thanks so much for sailing back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm thrilled that you and your husband have booked a romantic getaway to The Last Frontier together! My family and I have taken two Disney Cruises to Alaska, and both were unbelievable. I can't even begin to describe how majestic it is slowly sailing down the fjords with the lush landscape rising from the shores on either side of the ship! You have to see it to believe it and I'm elated that you and your husband will soon be seeing it with your own eyes!
In my honest opinion, Guests will find the same incredible balance of family-friendly activities and adults-only activities offered each day while sailing to Alaska. We've cruised once to Alaska without my son and once with him and each time the activities available on the Personal Navigator newsletter were similar but we just chose different things to do each trip based on whether we were sailing as just a couple versus sailing as a family of three wanting to keep our little guy having fun!
There are many ways you can take advantage of just you and your husband sailing together! You can book a
brunch at Palo or grab a hot coffee and read books overlooking the incredible scenery passing by at the adults-only
Quiet Cove Pool. During both our previous voyages to Alaska, we had multiple seminars led by an expert on glaciers and Alaskan wildlife! These were extremely interesting but I can see where some kiddos may not be as excited to attend.
I'm so glad you and your husband have chosen a Disney Cruise to Alaska for your getaway. Disney tells the most magical love stories; it's only fitting for you to share yours while sailing on a Disney Cruise under the stars!
