Hi! I have a Disney Credit Card. I am wondering if it would benefit me to use that card when purchasing my tickets, or if it would be best to use my debit card. What would be the benefits of using the Disney card? Thanks!

Hey there, hi there, Claire! Welcome to planDisney. We love getting to answer planning questions from Guests like you!

I am excited to see that you are thinking about a visit to Disneyland Resort during the holidays! If you have a Disney Visa Card and use it to purchase your tickets, you will earn reward dollars for this and all other purchases. You can then add these Reward Dollars to your Disney Rewards Redemption Card, which can be used in most locations throughout the park on your visit. You can even use it when you mobile order! I love saving up my Reward Dollars to redeem along with Disney Gift Cards I purchase leading up to my visit, when I am trying to budget.

If you are thinking about booking a Disneyland Resort Hotel Package or Good Neighbor Hotel Package that includes both accommodations and tickets, you could be earning Reward Dollars as well as a promotional APR with qualifying packages.

Don't forget that when you use it in the parks, you can save a percentage on dining and merchandise purchases at participating locations. I also love that both Disneyland and California Adventure have a special Disney Visa Cardholder character experience. There really are some great perks to enjoy during your visit!

Claire, I hope I was able to share some helpful information from one Disney Visa Cardholder to another! You know where to find us if you have any other planning questions!

All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
