Hi if I use my Disney credit card upon check in, do I still have to have it with me when I make a purchase to get any applied discounts? Does having it on the magic band still get me the discounts at participating stores and tours etc? Thank you

    Hi Lisa,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

As a Disney Premier Visa Card holder myself, I enjoy the many cardmember perks, including discounts on merchandise and dining at Walt Disney World. What you'll want to keep in mind is that, yes, you will need to present your actual card when you use it for purchases and special cardmember experiences at Walt Disney World — even if you have your credit card linked with your MagicBand. Some of my favorite restaurants around Walt Disney World like Cítricos, Artist Point, and Boma - Flavors of Africa offer dining discounts, and that makes for a delicious perk. You can check out all the cardmember perks by visiting the Disney Visa Credit Card website.

As an aside, it's always fun getting reactions from merchants when I present my card and hear them say "hey, your Mickey card matches your watch...and your shoes...and your shirt..."

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
