Hello, we are going to Disney in a couple weeks and we are staying at the Dolphin, what's it like and what's there to do there? Also anything going on in Disney at the end of July? One more thing what's all closed at the moment it seems a lot is?

    Hi, Ryan!

While I have not stayed at the Dolphin, I have stayed at its sister resort across the way at the Swan.  I really like it a lot!  The location on the Boardwalk is perfect, as you can walk or take a fun boat to either Hollywood Studios or Epcot.  I also love the pool area.  The pools seem endless, and there are many quiet shady areas to rest and relax.  You will want to go to the "buffeteria" style dining at Picabu Cafe.  I really enjoy their breakfast here, but they do serve meals all day long.  (Their breakfast potatoes are my favorite!)

There are some refurbishments going on around Disney World.  The biggies are Test Track in Epcot and the Fantasyland expansion in Magic Kingdom.  For a complete list, go to Allears.net and click on SEARCH and type in WDW Refurbs and a list of closings by location will be listed.

There is a fun event going on in Epcot at the end of July.  It is the "Sounds Like Summer Concert Series."  A U2 tribute band will be performing July 22 - July 28.  Check your Times Guide when entering Epcot for performance times.

Have a great time in Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
