Hello. I am going to Disney in a couple weeks with my in-laws. We both have our own reservations and are linked through the friends and family list. We were wondering if we both need to purchase the memory maker or if everyone can use it?

Hi Megan! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love hearing about families that are visiting as a multi-generational group because those trips are so unique and special for each person in their own way. Since the Walt Disney World Resort truly offers something for everyone, it is the perfect place to bring the family together. When we have visited with grandparents, it has been a treat to watch each person experience and interact with attractions and Characters around "The Most Magical Place on Earth!"

As long as your My Disney Experience accounts are linked together and you have allowed PhotoPass sharing, you only need to purchase one Memory Maker! You can have up to 25 people on one Memory Maker purchase. When I visited with a group of friends, we linked accounts and I was able to download all their photos from our trip, as well as mine, since I had Memory Maker.

To make sure you have PhotoPass sharing turned on, simply visit "My Family & Friends" from the "My Disney Experience" drop-down menu. Scroll down to the family member that has Memory Maker and click "Update." You should see a box next to the PhotoPass sharing text and if that box is checked, you are all set!

Enjoy your vacation, Megan! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
