does Disney charge a per day resort fee or put a hold on my credit card for incidentals like other hotels?

    Hi Rhonda,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Let me try to help you finalize your plans, so all you'll need to do is start packing!

I can understanding how frustrating it can be not knowing all the additional fees or surcharges one can get when vacationing. That's why I prefer to make a reservation with a Magic Your Way Vacation Package. This includes a stay at select Disney Resort hotels and Theme Park Tickets. You can also add options like Park Hopper, which lets you go to more than one Theme Park on the same day, and can even add a Disney Dining Plan.

The Disney Resort Hotels do not have a resort fee. Everything is included in your night rate, or vacation package. They also do not place any hold on your credit or debit card on file. They will charge it, however, once you hit a certain preset limit. Just ask when you Check-In. If you do not wish to use a credit or debit card, you can place a deposit with cash or Disney Gift Cards.

One last tip: if you set up for charging privileges, you can use your MagicBand as your wallet, and charge your purchases of meals or souvenirs right to your room account. Or you can use the Shop Disney Parks app right from your smartphone for that perfect gift. See you real soon!
