Hey there, hi there Bruce!
Oh boy! It looks like your Walt Disney World vacation is just around the corner. Whether you are planning visit both
Magic Kingdom and
Disney's Hollywood Studios on your next trip, or if you're just looking to spend the day in Hollywood Studios, you'll definitely find characters in both parks.
There are a few meet and greet options right now in Disney's Hollywood Studios. You can
meet Mickey and Minnie at Red Carpet Dreams. Everyone's favorite snowman,
Olaf, may not giving warm hugs just yet, but he is posing for pictures with guests at Celebrity Spotlight near
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. You can also meet Disney Junior characters, like Vampirina in Animation Courtyard.
Besides these scheduled meet and greet opportunities you may also see Chip and Dale near the Brown Derby Restaurant, Goofy and Max near Tower of Terror, Daisy and Donald near the front entrance to the park, and Star Wars characters like Chewbacca, Rey, and Stormtroopers in
Galaxy's Edge.
You can actually use the
My Disney Experience app to locate roaming characters. Click the location icon (next to the home icon) at the bottom of the screen. You should see a map of Walt Disney World. Mine defaults to feature Magic Kingdom, but just move it around until you see Disney's Hollywood Studios. Then click the arrow at the top of the screen next to "Wait Times" to access a drop down menu. Select "characters" and their locations will show up on the map.
Did you know you can dine with characters at
Hollywood & Vine? Breakfast is with Disney Junior characters (Vampirina, Fancy Nancy, Doc McStuffins, and Roadster Goofy), but lunch and dinner is typically with Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy.
If you just want to see characters from afar, don't miss the Pixar Pals Motorcade that rolls down Hollywood Boulevard several times a day. You can also see some Disney royalty at For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration (which is a really fun show), and
Beauty & The Beast Live on Stage.
Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
