Does Disney still do the Character phone calls letting the child know they are going to Disney? I remember a few years back they used to, or at DisneyWorld they did, do they do it for Disneyland?? Thank you

    Welcome back, Melody!

Thanks for bringing another question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love how eager you are to include your family in planning your next trip to the Disneyland Resort.

While the service you are referring to is no longer offered, there are other ways to get excited about your upcoming trip. I'd love to give you some ideas of how you can share the magic of planning your trip with your family. I suggest watching Disneyland vacation planning videos online. These ALWAYS got me so excited as a kid. I would watch them over and over before out trips. There are also some super fun countdown ideas and crafts you can do as you approach your trip. Pinterest has a ton of cute activities. You can also have family members make lists of their "must-do" attractions and dining. I always like to make lists before my trip of what I want to accomplish to get me in the spirit.

While not a trip phone call, you can call the Disney Bedtime Hotline toll free at 1-877-7-MICKEY or 1-877-7-642539. for an automated voice directory that lets you choose which character you want to wish your child sweet dreams. You can do this all year, not just while planning for your vacation! If you are staying at an official Disneyland Resort Hotel during your trip, you can also request Character wake-up calls.

Please return if you have any other questions, and have a magical day!
