The Disney Celebration cakes you can purchase at restaurants in the resorts. Do they come boxed? I am wondering as this would be a great treat to bring home. Treats purchased in the parks, can you request a container for them to carry back to resort?

    Hi Lorita,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for sending us your question!  I love all of the great options for sweets at Walt Disney World Resort, and it seems like you are planning to sample some great treats during your visit.

My family and I love to pre-order a Mickey Mouse Celebration specialty cake for a memorable treat during our Walt Disney World Resort Vacation.  As delicious as the Mickey Mouse Celebration specialty cake is, the reality for my family is that we always wind up with some extra cake to save for a midnight snack later.  The Cast Member taking care of your table will gladly pack up what is left over in order for you to bring it with you.  Once, my daughter and I were so full from our meal we had to have the entire cake packed up for us to take back to our Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Depending on how long you plan on staying in the Theme Park after your meal, I would also suggest to bring a small soft sided cooler to keep your cake cool, just no loose ice or dry ice, an ice pack is fine if needed.  The Florida sun can be harsh on many of the Disney snacks and treats and you need to make sure it is ready for when you would like to enjoy the cake later!

When you purchase snacks throughout Walt Disney World Resort, there will be take out containers available to transport your treats.  Simply ask the Cast Member for a container and they will be happy to provide you with something to save your snacks!

I noticed that you will be at Walt Disney World Resort in February, Lorita.  I would highly recommend visiting Taste of Epcot International Festival of the Arts, where you can explore some culinary masterpieces as well as world-class performing and visual art displays.

I hope you have a magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort, Lorita.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
