Hey Jennifer, welcome to planDisney!
We're so glad you stopped by. As a fellow military spouse, it's my pleasure to help you today, and I'd like to thank you and your family for your service. I see you're getting a head start on your planning, that's the most important part of any trip! Thank you for bringing your question to me and letting me be a part of making your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth practically perfect in every way.
I love that Disney provides
amazing offers to U.S. military personnel and their families. My family and I have enjoyed taking advantage of these special offers at Walt Disney World Resort. I was thrilled when they introduced the Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Ticket, now available, which allows eligible Guests the ability to visit Walt Disney World multiple times from January 1 through December 18, 2026, at an incredible price. As you may know, valid
theme park reservations are required with these tickets, and you can only hold up to five days of theme park reservations at a time. After you scan your ticket on your first day, log back into your
My Disney Experience account to make a reservation for your remaining day, as an additional day will become available once you use one. I personally would book Sunday through Thursday, and once Sunday is used, book Friday, as you can make your
Lightning Lane choices for each day 3 days before you arrive. If you are a Disney Resort hotel Guest, you can make all your Lightning Lane choices for your whole trip 7 days before your arrival.
Be sure to look into the
special military offers for Disney Resort hotels. Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels are offered
additional amenities that add extra pixie dust to their Walt Disney World vacation. My personal favorites are
Early Theme Park Entry, which allows you to enter the theme parks 30 minutes before they open to the public, and
complimentary transportation, because you're not truly on vacation unless you're being chauffeured around like the princess you are! You definitely have to check out the
Disney Skyliner. It's my favorite way to get around and a fantastic spot for a photo opp.
Don't forget to check out Shades of Green, the military-exclusive resort on Disney property. My family loves shopping at the Exchange, and my boys' favorite is the ice cream. If you purchased your tickets at your local military base, be sure to bring your valid military ID to activate them. You can do this at any ticket counter in front of the theme parks or at the
Disney Ticket Center in Disney Springs. If your tickets were purchased at Shades of Green, they'll already be activated.
Bonus tip: Be sure to ask about the specially priced
Memory Maker offered to U.S. military personnel while you're activating your tickets.
Jennifer, thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to assist you today. Please come back and see me anytime. You've got a friend in me!
Your personal planning companion,
Michelle
