Will Disney cap the # of individual lightning lane passes sold/day or can anyone who has a park res who wants to purchase do so?

    Hi Carol!

A holiday visit to Walt Disney World is so festive! The parks are decked out with zillions of twinkling lights, thousands of bright red poinsettias, and hundreds of splendidly decorated Christmas trees. I love the Mickey wreaths adorning the lampposts.

We've never had a friend like Genie, so discovering all the details of this new system is still evolving. Any Guest who wishes to purchase Genie+ may; there is no limit on how many ticket holders can opt into the the system. Lighting Lane access, however, through both individually purchased access and Genie+, is limited. The highly popular Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance does tend to run out of Lighting Lane purchasable passes. As the day progresses, you might find some attractions no longer have a Genie+ Lighting Lane available.

On a recent trip, I nabbed a Lightning Lane pass for Rise of the Resistance as early as possible (7:00 am for Walt Disney World Resort guests; park opening time if you are not staying at a Disney hotel). Other attractions, such as Frozen Ever After, still had availability in the afternoon. Take a minute to consider what Genie+ attractions you consider must-dos and schedule them first so you won't miss out on Lighting Lane access. I found the new Genie+ system cut our time in line significantly.

Wishing you a wonderful visit to see Mickey!
