Welcome to planDisney, Chris!
While a visit to
Walt Disney World is always magical, stepping out of the usual experiences and into something truly unique is even more memorable. Some of my favorite vacation activities are those that are quite different from what we think of when imagining days at the parks and hotels.
Horseback riding is right up there at the top of the list of them. Such a treat!
As a Floridian, Chris, you know better than most that weather can be unpredictable, so outdoor activities may be affected from time to time--
horseback riding included. You'll see in the Know Before You Go section of the page linked above that there is a 1-day cancellation policy for guests to receive a full refund should they wish to cancel. Not to worry, though. If Walt Disney World cancels your excursion, you will receive that refund regardless of timing.
At times, Walt Disney World will post
Weather Updates & Information regarding certain closures or cancellations. Of course, Cast Members at
Tri-Circle-D Ranch prioritize the safety of both their guests and the horses and ponies who call the ranch home, so if conditions do not allow that, some ranch activities may be cancelled. Before heading out, contact a Cast Member at
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort at the number listed on the resort's page; it's right below the hotel's address.
Another option would be to open your
My Disney Experience app and start a chat with a Cast Member. To start a chat, select the hamburger icon on the bottom right of the app--three lines on top of each other--and scroll down to Help & Feedback. You'll see the Chat With Us option listed there.
Finally, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, head to the front desk to ask for assistance. At a park or Disney Springs?
Guest Relations will be able to find out if your activity is still on as scheduled.
Chris, while visiting Tri-Circle-D Ranch, be sure to take in the magic of Cinderella's Ponies and other beautiful breeds that call the stable home. It's open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, so a visit there might be the perfect addition to your plans for the day.
If you think of additional questions as you finalize your visit, Chris, be sure to send them our way. We love to help!
