Greetings, Marina, and welcome to planDisney! When I’m enjoying all the magic of the Disneyland Resort, I love keeping things simple. This includes paying for food and souvenirs – I almost always pay with my phone instead of bringing out a physical card. Let's get into it!
Here's the great news: Most quick-service dining locations, carts, and retail shops throughout Disneyland and California Adventure accept tap-to-pay options like Apple Pay and Google Pay. You can also link a credit or debit card in the
Disneyland app, which makes it easy to
mobile order food and use
merchandise mobile checkout at select retail locations. It's convenient and also saves time.
Of course, traditional payment methods like major credit cards, cash, and Disney Gift Cards are also accepted. Just a quick heads-up, Marina: I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who told me that
table-service restaurants currently do not accept Apple Pay, so it’s a good idea to bring a physical card if you’re planning to dine at locations such as Blue Bayou and Carnation Café.
Since you’ll likely use your phone throughout the day, I recommend packing a portable charger. If you forgot one, Hakuna Matata! There are
portable charger kiosks around the Resort, and the best part is that you can swap a used one for a fully charged replacement anytime during your visit.
On the subject of food and merchandise, the Disneyland Resort has some amazing new offerings for the 70th Anniversary Celebration. Take a look at the complete guide on the
Disney Parks Blog.
Marina, I hope you have a magical visit to the Disneyland Resort. If you have any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
As Mickey would say, “See ya real soon!”
