Is the a Disney bus to and from Orlando airport? Do I need to make a reservation?

    Hello Rus,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. It looks like you'll be heading to Walt Disney World in just a few days to join The World's Most Magical Celebration.

Although transportation within Walt Disney World is complimentary, guests need to make arrangements for their own travel to and from Orlando International Airport. The good news is, you have a lot of options:

Shuttle Bus Service - Mears Connect and Sunshine Flyer provide bus service to all Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. You can do an internet search for either of these companies and make a reservation online. Although your bus may stop at several other resorts, they are generally located near one another.

Ride Share - Many guests choose to take Uber or Lyft to Walt Disney World. You could also use a traditional taxi service.

Private Car Service - Sometimes guests overlook this thinking that the cost will be too high, but depending on your party size, it's likely more affordable than you might think. It's definitely worth consideration. This is likely the quickest way to get from the airport to your hotel, and drivers will often make a complimentary stop at a convenience store for water or snacks.

Car Rental - This can be convenient if you have dining reservations at different resorts or if you are planning on sightseeing outside of Walt Disney World at all. It definitely provides you the most flexibility with travel during your vacation.

I hope this information helps you get your vacation off to a great start!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
